Have you ever wonder where cartoonists and artists get their inspiration? Whether it be for a comic book, cartoon series, or animated film — how do they come up with these characters? Do they randomly decide the details like the hair style and color, facial features, and outfits? Or do they base their characters off of real life people?

It's hard to answer these questions as every artist works differently and finds inspiration from different sources. Be that as it may, no matter where artists pull their inspiration from, we always seems to run into doppelgängers of these cartoon characters in real life! It's hard to believe some animated characters aren't originally based on these people.

Or maybe we're all secretly cartoons and we only think we're real. Who knows the real answer, but here's a list of cartoons and their real life counterparts for you to enjoy.
